Fibonacci Sequence. Golden Proportion. (Sunflower/Pinecone). 

 

The Fibonacci Sequence and Golden Proportion occur in nature, architecture, art and arguably in anatomy and genetics. 

 

The pieces in this collection were patterned according to the Golden Proportion. Pieces also demonstrate the proportion when layered and worn together. 

 

The human brain strives to make sense of chaos/randomness, to control and find order/patterns.

 

Is it coincidental that the proportion occurs in places that are seemingly visually pleasing?

Is the proportion an aspect of divinity or simply mathematics?

Can the proportion be found in seemingly unknown places by simply searching for it?

When the proportion is found is its use always intentional or can it be simply coincidental?

If it is coincidental, does that speak to the nature of its mysticism in that it occurs in a work without clear intent?

Is the pattern’s existence simply humans attempting to make order out of randomness?
